Responsibilities
As a truck driver at Rangi Brothers Logistics Inc, you will play a crucial role in the transportation and delivery process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over local, regional, or international routes
- Loading and unloading cargo safely and efficiently
- Performing vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips to ensure roadworthiness
- Checking tires, brakes, lights, cold storage units, and other truck components for optimal performance
- Conducting routine maintenance, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- Keeping detailed records of cargo, fuel consumption, hours of service, and distance traveled
- Ensuring all permits and necessary documentation for international transport are obtained and updated
- Tarping and securing cargo to prevent damage during transportation
- Collecting and processing payments for goods where necessary
- Relaying important trip and cargo details to central dispatch
