Key Responsibilities
As a General Farm Worker, your tasks will include:
Applying fertilizers and spraying crops.
Cleaning crops and clearing fields of wood and stones.
Cutting crops and seeds according to farm standards.
Harvesting, sorting, and grading vegetables and fruits based on size, shape, and color.
Packing and preparing fresh produce for market.
Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
Weeding and tying plants to support growth.
Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
Harvesting specific crops such as seed corn, soybeans, tomatoes, and other vegetables.
Other Responsibilities
Ensuring crops receive proper water saturation, light, and temperature as instructed.
Dividing fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
Following all safety and hygiene protocols on the farm.
Assisting with general farm maintenance and upkeep.
Reporting any crop or equipment issues to supervisors.
