This role offers exciting travel opportunities across New Zealand, leading projects involving dismantling and processing steel plants, equipment, and machinery. This role offers a diverse and dynamic work environment where no two days are the same!
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical or engine maintenance.
A relevant qualification in diesel mechanics, welding, or mechanical engineering (preferred).
Strong expertise in welding, grinding, and steel fabrication.
Experience in hydraulics and forklift maintenance (preferred but not required).
A clean driver’s license and the willingness to travel across different project sites.
Strong computer skills for project planning and documentation.
Leadership abilities and the capacity to work well in a team.
NZ residency or citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project/Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Project Planning: Organizing personnel, equipment, and paperwork before project execution.
On-Site Leadership: Supervising and guiding crews during project operations.
Hands-On Engineering Work: Performing welding, grinding, and providing technical expertise.
Safety Management: Leading toolbox talks, conducting hazard assessments, and carrying out site inspections.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that machinery, equipment, and tools are properly maintained in the workshop.
