Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical or engine maintenance.
- A relevant qualification in diesel mechanics, welding, or mechanical engineering (preferred).
- Strong expertise in welding, grinding, and steel fabrication.
- Experience in hydraulics and forklift maintenance (preferred but not required).
- A clean driver’s license and the willingness to travel across different project sites.
- Strong computer skills for project planning and documentation.
- Leadership abilities and the capacity to work well in a team.
- NZ residency or citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project/Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning: Organizing personnel, equipment, and paperwork before project execution.
- On-Site Leadership: Supervising and guiding crews during project operations.
- Hands-On Engineering Work: Performing welding, grinding, and providing technical expertise.
- Safety Management: Leading toolbox talks, conducting hazard assessments, and carrying out site inspections.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that machinery, equipment, and tools are properly maintained in the workshop.
