Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical or engine maintenance.
  • A relevant qualification in diesel mechanics, welding, or mechanical engineering (preferred).
  • Strong expertise in welding, grinding, and steel fabrication.
  • Experience in hydraulics and forklift maintenance (preferred but not required).
  • A clean driver’s license and the willingness to travel across different project sites.
  • Strong computer skills for project planning and documentation.
  • Leadership abilities and the capacity to work well in a team.
  • NZ residency or citizenship is required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project/Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning: Organizing personnel, equipment, and paperwork before project execution.
  • On-Site Leadership: Supervising and guiding crews during project operations.
  • Hands-On Engineering Work: Performing welding, grinding, and providing technical expertise.
  • Safety Management: Leading toolbox talks, conducting hazard assessments, and carrying out site inspections.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that machinery, equipment, and tools are properly maintained in the workshop.
