Job Summary

Company: CanWest Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc.
Location: Leduc, AB (7001 42 Street, T9E 0W1)
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually (to be negotiated) / 90 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Work Schedule: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning

Job Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in civil engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Language: Must be proficient in English.
• Work Environment: On-site work is required; remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Estimator, your tasks will include:

• Preparing detailed estimates for labor and material costs.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Utilizing quantity take-off procedures to assess project needs.
• Analyzing tenders and making recommendations for contract awards.
• Estimating materials, tools, and equipment necessary for construction projects.

Other requirement:

Candidates should have experience with the following:

• Drilling Equipment: Core drills.
• Concrete Equipment: Concrete saws.
