Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
- Minimum of 5 years in agricultural services.
- Must be proficient in English.
- On-site work; remote work is not available.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
As an Agricultural Contractor, your duties will include:
- Cutting and harvesting agricultural crops.
- Developing specific plans to prioritize farm activities.
- Managing crop de-leafing procedures.
- Implementing soil fertility programs and overseeing field clearing activities.
- Mixing and applying fertilizers to improve soil health.
- Providing essential crop services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
- Ensuring farm safety and biosecurity procedures are strictly followed.
- Maintaining quality control and production records.
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
- Assisting truck and delivery drivers with loading and unloading materials.
Equipment and Specialization
