Madison is seeking a civil or structural engineer with a passion for maintaining infrastructure integrity to join their expanding team in Auckland City, New Zealand. This full-time, contract position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals who enjoy working on high-volume, small-scale projects while balancing technical expertise with customer engagement.

The company is looking to add three new engineers to their current team of five, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a diverse, fun, and collaborative environment. This position is primarily office-based, where you will liaise with developers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that designs and approvals meet industry standards. You will also provide technical support, review project plans, and advise developers on alternative solutions where necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in civil or structural engineering, particularly in building foundations design

Responsibilities

As an Asset Protection Engineer, your key duties will include:

  • Design Review & Approvals: Assess project designs against industry standards and advise developers on alternative solutions where needed.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Manage technical calls, RFIs (Requests for Information), and de-escalate queries while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Project Coordination: Provide support for works over approvals, ensuring compliance with water and pipe bridging designs.
  • Office-Based Role: Work closely with developers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
