Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience
- Must be proficient in English
- On-site construction work with exposure to various weather conditions
- Requires lifting, standing, walking, bending, and handling materials for extended periods
- This position contributes to environmental sustainability by supporting Canada’s net-zero target
Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Helper, your tasks will include:
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from job sites
- Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assisting in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
- Supporting drilling and blasting operations on construction sites
- Cleaning up chemical spills and handling other hazardous materials safely
- Removing rubble and debris to maintain a safe and organized work environment
