The company has recently secured the Wellington Electricity Field Services Agreement, marking an exciting opportunity for skilled workers to contribute to a major project.
As part of this expansion, Omexom is hiring three Distribution Faultmen to join the Reactive Services business unit. The role requires expertise in electricity distribution networks, fault response, and high-voltage switching. This full-time, permanent position will involve working on a rotating roster, including weekends, with opportunities for standby duty.

Job Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
Education & Certification:
EWRB registration as a Distribution Line Mechanic
Switching training and experience
Full, clean Driverβs License
Preferred: Faultman network warrants and Transpower switching experience
Experience & Skills:
Minimum three years of hands-on experience in electricity distribution networks
Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Effective problem-solving and time-management skills
Strong teamwork ability with a can-do attitude
Experience in high-voltage switching and plant isolation
Willingness to participate in a standby roster
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:

Responding to and assessing assigned fault service requests in a timely manner
Performing high-voltage switching and ensuring plant isolation
Repairing and maintaining distribution networks according to Omexom and customer standards
Identifying and reporting faulty or unsafe network equipment
Ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained and well-presented
Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service delivery and operational processes
Following strict safety guidelines and company policies to protect oneself and others
Completing necessary paperwork and records within designated timeframes
