The role involves constructing and maintaining electrical equipment in substations, performing maintenance duties, and handling callouts across 28 regional substations. You’ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work within a skilled and supportive team.

Responsibilities

Carry out electrical work according to regulations
Conduct inspections, fault finding, and repairs on HV and LV systems
Perform maintenance and callout duties independently
Maintain accurate records and reports
Identify and resolve technical issues
Assist with job scoping, planning, and problem-solving

Requirements

Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
Experience in 11KV–220KV substation work preferred
Skilled in reading electrical diagrams and schematics
Competent with HV and LV switching
Physically fit and safety-conscious
Current New Zealand driver’s licence
