Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Proven barista experience with the ability to make and serve high-quality coffee.
- A friendly, outgoing personality and a strong work ethic.
- Superior customer service skills to ensure guests receive a memorable experience.
- Experience in a hospitality or lounge environment is preferred.
- A food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or a willingness to complete training.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- A strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Ability to pass a police clearance check.
- New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa (sponsorship is not available).
Key Responsibilities
As a Barista at Strata Lounge, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving top-quality coffee to guests.
- Providing friendly, welcoming, and professional customer service.
- Handling cash register operations and till transactions accurately.
- Assisting with cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
- Supporting basic food preparation and presentation.
- Ensuring the lounge environment remains clean, organized, and inviting.
- Proactively responding to customer requests, feedback, and service needs.
