Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in farm operations is an asset, but training is available.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various types of farm machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of agricultural processes, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
  • Willingness to work in a rural environment with provided staff accommodation.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops efficiently to maximize yield.
  • Fertilize and spray crops as required to ensure proper growth and protection.

Responsibilities

  • Harvest crops and ensure they are stored and processed correctly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment.
  • Assist in general farm duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas.

Other Responsibilities

  • Monitor soil conditions and adjust farming techniques accordingly.
  • Assist in farm planning and contribute ideas for improving efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and farm policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with farm management for operational planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and farm activities.
  • Assist in training new farm workers on equipment operation and safety procedures.
