Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Experience in farm operations is an asset, but training is available.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of farm machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of agricultural processes, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Willingness to work in a rural environment with provided staff accommodation.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops efficiently to maximize yield.
- Fertilize and spray crops as required to ensure proper growth and protection.
Responsibilities
- Harvest crops and ensure they are stored and processed correctly.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment.
- Assist in general farm duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
Other Responsibilities
- Monitor soil conditions and adjust farming techniques accordingly.
- Assist in farm planning and contribute ideas for improving efficiency.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and farm policies.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with farm management for operational planning.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and farm activities.
- Assist in training new farm workers on equipment operation and safety procedures.
