Job Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Language: Must be proficient in English.
  • Work Environment: On-site work is required; remote work is not available.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in hot, dusty, and odorous conditions, as well as handle physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities

As a Farm Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • Maintaining financial and production records for farm operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with farm safety and bio-security procedures.
  • Overseeing and participating in tasks such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting crops.
  • Supervising greenhouse cleaning and ensuring a clean work environment.
  • Negotiating with clients for the provision of agricultural services.
  • Maintaining quality control and ensuring production targets are met.
  • Hiring and training farm staff as needed.
  • Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
  • Performing general farm duties as required.

Other Responsibilities

In addition to the primary duties, Farm Supervisors may also be responsible for:

  • Managing work records and daily logs for farm operations.
  • Overseeing the growth and maintenance of crops to maximize yield.
  • Monitoring and reporting equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Ensuring adherence to all workplace safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assisting in problem-solving and making operational improvements as needed.
