Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience is an asset (training will be provided for inexperienced candidates)
• Willingness to work in an outdoor environment under varying weather conditions
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Must be reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (abstract) may be required
• Must be willing to relocate if necessary

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers to crops to promote healthy growth
• Shear and shape Christmas trees and plants using a knife
• Perform weeding and general crop maintenance tasks
• Fertilize and spray crops following best agricultural practices
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely
• Plant tree seedlings and contribute to reforestation efforts
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the work area and farm equipment
• Help in general farm maintenance, including irrigation setup and land preparation
• Monitored crop health and reported any issues to farm supervisors
• Participate in farm sustainability initiatives to promote eco-friendly practices

Other Responsibilities

• Follow all farm safety protocols and guidelines
• Support seasonal farm activities, including tree harvesting and special projects
• Maintain accurate records of crop activities and fertilizer applications
• Assist in inventory management and storage of farm tools and supplies
