Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience in farm work is an asset but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently in an outdoor environment under varying weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different farm operations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
- Harvest fruits and vegetables, ensuring quality control.
- Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce.
- Operate basic farm equipment as required.
- Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Sort and pack produce for distribution.
- Follow farm safety regulations and procedures.
Other Responsibilities
- Support farm staff in organizing seasonal farm events.
- Assist with pest and weed control management.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of harvested produce.
- Maintain farm tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Participate in general farm maintenance tasks such as fence repair and irrigation setup.
- Monitor crop health and report any issues to farm supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with other farm workers to ensure efficient workflow.
