Key Responsibilities
As a General Farm Worker, your tasks will include:
- Applying fertilizers and spraying crops.
- Cleaning crops and clearing fields of wood and stones.
- Cutting crops and seeds according to farm standards.
- Harvesting, sorting, and grading vegetables and fruits based on size, shape, and color.
- Packing and preparing fresh produce for market.
- Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
- Weeding and tying plants to support growth.
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
- Harvesting specific crops such as seed corn, soybeans, tomatoes, and other vegetables.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensuring crops receive proper water saturation, light, and temperature as instructed.
- Dividing fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- Following all safety and hygiene protocols on the farm.
- Assisting with general farm maintenance and upkeep.
- Reporting any crop or equipment issues to supervisors.
