Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Helper, your daily tasks will include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
- Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen tools using a dishwasher or by hand.
- Preparing food by washing, peeling, slicing, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Operating manual and electrical appliances to process foodstuffs.
- Packaging take-out food and serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
- Stocking refrigerators, freezers, and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
- Handling and storing cleaning products safely.
- Receiving, unpacking, and organizing kitchen supplies.
- Taking out kitchen garbage and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
- Sharpening kitchen knives as needed.
