Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must be:
- Trade qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Either in a Foreman/Supervisory role or an experienced tradie/leading hand ready for career growth.
- Skilled in diagnostics, fault-finding, and condition monitoring.
- Certified in TIG/MMAW welding.
- Experienced in hydraulics and pneumatics (preferred).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Capable of handling administrative tasks such as estimating, quoting, and job pack creation.
- Comfortable using computer software (Word, Excel, JobPro).
- Proactive in seeking additional work opportunities for the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of qualified tradespeople in providing engineering and maintenance services.
- Act as a crucial link between Kernohan Engineering and a major manufacturing client.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-the-job maintenance challenges.
- Manage planned shutdowns, preventive maintenance, and emergency breakdowns.
- Strengthen client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high safety standards and compliance in all operations.
