Job Summary

Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Language: Proficiency in English
• Work Environment: Must be comfortable working in palliative care settings, urban areas, remote locations, and private homes
• Security & Safety: A criminal record check and references are required

Key Responsibilities

As a Personal Support Worker, your duties will include:

• Administering bedside and personal care
• Assisting clients with bathing and personal hygiene
• Supporting clients with regular exercise, such as walking
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals
• Feeding or assisting with feeding
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Shopping for food and household supplies
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Ensuring skin care and other personal care needs are met

other Responsibilities

• Cooking meals as per dietary needs
• Ensuring a clean and safe home environment
• Assisting clients with Alzheimer’s disease, disabilities, and special needs children
• Following workplace safety guidelines
• Reporting any concerns to supervisors
