Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cold section/larder, and grilling
- Ability to order stock, conduct stocktaking, and manage food and labor costs
- Good knowledge of dietary requirements and the ability to accommodate various preferences
- Commitment to high hygiene and cleanliness standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ability to mentor and train junior team members, working closely with HR and the Head Chef to assess skill levels
- Willingness to follow instructions and work towards a common goal
- Flexible availability across a seven-day roster, which includes dinner shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays, and both lunch and dinner shifts from Wednesday to Sunday
- No prior experience in Middle Eastern cuisine is required, making it a great opportunity for chefs who want to learn new culinary styles
