Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
Trade Certification in mechanical engineering or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on training and relevant experience.
Expertise in Welding: Strong knowledge and experience in stainless steel and alloy welding, with the appropriate welding tickets or the ability to pass a welding certification test.
Fabrication Experience: Ability to weld light gauge stainless steel to a high-quality finish, particularly for bench tops and sinks.
Blueprint Reading Skills: Proven experience in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings.
Client Communication: Ability to discuss job details with clients and understand their exact requirements.
Driver’s License: A valid New Zealand driver’s license is required.
Work Ethic: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and eager to take the initiative in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality stainless steel, alloy, and mild steel welding and fabrication.
Construct tanks, hoppers, and process lines for various industrial applications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
