Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Trade Certification in mechanical engineering or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on training and relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Welding: Strong knowledge and experience in stainless steel and alloy welding, with the appropriate welding tickets or the ability to pass a welding certification test.
  • Fabrication Experience: Ability to weld light gauge stainless steel to a high-quality finish, particularly for bench tops and sinks.
  • Blueprint Reading Skills: Proven experience in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings.
  • Client Communication: Ability to discuss job details with clients and understand their exact requirements.
  • Driver’s License: A valid New Zealand driver’s license is required.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and eager to take the initiative in problem-solving.
