Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Residency: Must be a New Zealand resident (work sponsorship is not available for this position).
- Experience: Prior experience working in a New Zealand-based consultancy is essential.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or an equivalent qualification in structural engineering).
- Project Portfolio: A demonstrated ability to work on new builds, showcasing strong technical expertise in structural design.
- Seismic Engineering Skills: Experience with ISA (Initial Seismic Assessment) and DSA (Detailed Seismic Assessment) is required.
Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing structural engineering projects, ranging from residential to commercial developments.
- Conducting seismic assessments and ensuring compliance with New Zealand’s building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and local councils throughout the project lifecycle.
- Designing structural systems that ensure safety, stability, and durability.
