Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A Qualified and Registered Line Mechanic certification.
- Proven switching training and experience.
- A Heavy Vehicle Licence (Minimum Class 2).
- The ability to work effectively in a high-voltage environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise with project managers and site supervisors.
- Desirable: Experience with Fault-man network warrants and Transpower switching.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and pre-checking switching schedules before implementation.
- Perform high-voltage switching and isolation of plant as required.
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and coordinate operations.
- Identify and report unscheduled work to ensure network safety and functionality.
- Ensure company vehicles and allocated equipment are well-maintained and functional.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to execute proposed switching efficiently.
- Complete technical documentation and paperwork within required timeframes.
