Responsibilities
As a truck driver at Warring Trucking, your primary duties will include:
- Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Conducting vehicle inspections, including checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Performing brake adjustments and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition
- Completing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Communicating with central dispatch to receive and relay information
- Maintaining accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Ensuring the safety and security of cargo, including proper tarping
