Job Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of truck driving experience.
- License: Must have a valid Class 1/1F/A License (for semi-trailer trucks).
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Willing to travel overnight as required.
- Must own a cellular phone for communication.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be hardworking.
Responsibilities
As a truck driver at Carl’s Trucking, your primary duties will include:
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
- Overseeing the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
- Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch for smooth coordination.
- Completing driver logbooks, trip reports, and inspection reports as required.
