L’aube, Pôle Nourricier is seeking a dedicated Vegetable Packer – Farm to join our team in Senneville, QC. This position offers a well-rounded understanding of farm operations and also involves some responsibilities as a Fruit Packer-Farm. Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to work on-site (no remote option available)
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • French language proficiency
  • A valid driver’s license (for transportation and travel purposes)
  • Ability to work in a green job environment that contributes to environmental sustainability
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Organized and reliable work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to changing farm conditions
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude
  • Strong values and ethics in sustainability and farm safety

Responsibilities

  • Grade vegetables and fruits into different categories based on size, shape, color, and volume to ensure maximum market value
  • Sort, pack, and label fruits and vegetables for distribution
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure fresh produce meets standards
  • Clean work areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards
  • Store materials and inventory in designated storage areas

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining farm sustainability initiatives to support organic farming practices
  • Monitor storage conditions to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness
  • Assist in setting up and managing farm market displays when necessary
  • Participate in farm training programs to enhance skills in sorting and packaging
  • Collaborate with farm staff to improve operational efficiency
  • Support farm waste management efforts to minimize environmental impact
  • Follow farm safety regulations and biosecurity measures
