Earlco Vineyards Ltd. is seeking an experienced Vineyard Farm Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires physical labor in outdoor environments, including hot and dusty conditions. Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in vineyard or farm supervision
- Language: Must be proficient in English
- Work Environment: Organic farming, viticulture, outdoor, dusty, hot conditions, tree and orchard fruit settings
- Transportation/Travel: Valid driver’s license required
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and, ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods
- Supervision: Overseeing a team of 5-10 farm workers
Key Responsibilities
As a Vineyard Farm Supervisor, your tasks will include:
- Cultivating crops using a vertical farming system
- Guiding growing shoots into optimal development positions
- Managing vine growth, canopy maintenance, and grape cultivation
- Removing suckers and water sprouts manually
- Tying and securing plants for proper growth
- Training trees to enhance fruit production and quality
- Performing weeding and general vineyard maintenance
- Providing agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting
- Coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
- Ensuring compliance with farm safety and bio-security procedures
- Maintaining quality control and production records
- Overseeing growing and other crop-related operations
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- Performing general farm duties as needed
Other responsibilities (Specialization):
